YMCA Challenger Baseball League
Challenger Baseball League is a program for physically and mentally disabled children between the ages of 5-18 that provides the full benefits of Little
League baseball participation in an athletic environment structured to their
abilities. The goal is to establish strong bonds of friendship and
understanding between our Buddies and Challenger children in an atmosphere of sharing and caring. Volunteer Buddies are family members or local youths
and adults from the surrounding community. In Challenger Division games,
buddies help their partners by acting as guides for the children, pushing
wheelchair bound children around the base paths, or acting as an encouraging
friend. We are looking for players and buddies to participate in this
exciting program!
